Privacy Policy


This privacy policy applies to the Upriq app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Mavapps (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

## Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

* Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address)

* The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages

* The time spent on the Application

* The operating system you use on your mobile device

* App crash logs and diagnostic information

## Motion Sensor Data Collection

The Application collects motion sensor data from compatible headphones (AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, AirPods 3rd generation, or Beats Fit Pro) when you enable headphone tracking. This includes:

* Head position and orientation data (pitch, roll, and gravity measurements)

* Real-time head movement tracking during active sessions

* Calibration baseline measurements

This motion data is:

* Used solely for posture monitoring and feedback within the Application

* Processed locally on your device

* NOT transmitted to external servers

* NOT shared with third parties

* NOT used for any purpose other than posture tracking

* Automatically deleted when you uninstall the Application

**Important:** No audio is recorded or transmitted. The Application only accesses motion sensors in your headphones, not the microphone.

You can disable motion data collection at any time by:

* Turning off "AirPods Tracking" in the app settings

* Revoking motion sensor permissions in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness

## Local Data Storage

The Application stores the following data locally on your device:

* User preferences and settings

* Session history and posture scores

* XP, level, and streak information

* Quest and achievement progress

* Calibration baselines

* Daily and weekly statistics

This data is stored only on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults) and is not transmitted to external servers. All local data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the Application.

## Notifications

The Application may send you notifications for:

* Posture reminders during active sessions

* Periodic posture checks when reminders are enabled

You can disable notifications at any time through:

* The Application's settings

* iOS Settings > Notifications > Upriq

## Audio and Haptic Feedback

The Application uses:

* System audio alerts when poor posture is detected

* Haptic vibrations for posture notifications

These features use only standard iOS system sounds and haptics. No audio is recorded or collected.

## Subscription and Purchase Information

If you subscribe to Upriq Pro, the following information is processed by our third-party payment processors:

* Purchase history and subscription status

* App Store receipt information

* Anonymous user identifier (generated by RevenueCat)

We do not have access to your credit card or payment details. All payment processing is handled by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat.

## Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

## Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

### 1. Access Your Data

All data is stored locally on your device and can be viewed within the Application. You can view your:

* Session history and posture scores

* XP, level, and streak progress

* Quest and achievement status

* Settings and preferences

### 2. Delete Your Data

**Local Data (Immediate Deletion):**

* Uninstall the Application to immediately delete all data stored on your device

* All session history, settings, progress, and motion data will be permanently removed

**Third-Party Data (30-Day Process):**

* Email support@mavapps.com with subject line "Data Deletion Request - Upriq"

* Include your Apple ID email address

* We will delete your data from RevenueCat and Firebase within 30 days

### 3. Export Your Data

Email support@mavapps.com to request a copy of any data we have about you. Note: This is limited to subscription status only, as all other data is stored locally on your device.

### 4. Opt-Out

You can disable specific features at any time in the app settings:

* AirPods tracking (Settings > Tracking Mode)

* Notifications (Settings > Reminders)

* Sound alerts (Settings > Alerts)

## Third-Party Data Retention

* **RevenueCat:** Retains subscription data for tax and legal compliance purposes according to their data retention policy

* **Firebase:** Retains anonymized analytics data according to Google's retention policies (typically 14 months)

## What We Can Delete

When you request data deletion, we will delete:

* Your RevenueCat user profile (subscription history)

* Your Firebase analytics profile

* Any crash reports associated with your device

## What We Cannot Delete

* Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (no longer linked to you personally)

* Purchase receipts held by Apple (contact Apple Support directly)

* Data required for legal or tax compliance (e.g., refund records)

* Historical data already anonymized in our systems

## Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

To disable specific data collection while continuing to use the app:

* Motion data: Turn off "AirPods Tracking" in settings

* Notifications: Disable in app settings or iOS Settings > Notifications

* Crash reports: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements

## Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. 

* **Local data:** Retained until you uninstall the Application

* **RevenueCat subscription data:** Retained for tax and legal compliance (typically 7 years)

* **Firebase analytics:** Retained according to Google's policies (14 months for user-level data)

If you'd like us to delete data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at support@mavapps.com and we will respond within 30 days.

## Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. 

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems immediately.

## Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

Security measures include:

* Local data encryption on your device via iOS security features

* HTTPS encryption for all network communications

* Regular security updates and patches

* Third-party service providers with industry-standard security certifications

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## International Data Transfers

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

By using the Application, you consent to the transfer of your information to:

* United States (RevenueCat servers)

* United States (Google Firebase servers)

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page.

## Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice in the Application.
